Plastic is a threat that affects everyone!

On land, in water and in the air – wherever we are, we are faced with plastic everywhere. The amount of plastic is increasing exponentially. According to estimates by Ingrid Andersen, Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), by 2040 the amount of plastic will increase THREE times.

“Turtles entangled in torn plastic bags. Dead whales with stomachs full of waste. Billions of plastic pellets that are swept across our beaches by waves – just like they did in Sri Lanka recently. We ourselves see what we have done, ”says Ingrid Andersen. In addition, this amount of plastic waste is already driving climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution.

The seas and oceans are already so polluted with plastic that they cannot fully provide the wealth that we used before. The economic losses associated with water bodies alone amount to $ 2.5 billion.

“But plastic doesn’t appear out of nowhere in the ocean,” Andersen notes. “New research shows that 1,000 rivers bring 80 percent of the plastic into the ocean. The ecosystems of these rivers are suffering. Freshwater lakes suffer, ecosystems on land suffer. ” But plastic does not get into rivers by a wave of a magic wand, continues the head of UNEP.

City dwellers generate 1.3 billion tons of solid waste every year. This waste directly harms humanity, while it can be beneficial.

Pyrolysis technology allows you to process solid waste into useful substances, without harm to the environment. The essence of the technology is to heat raw materials to high temperatures, but unlike the combustion process, oxygen is not used during pyrolysis, because of this, no harmful substances are released into the environment.

GreenPower has 20 years of experience with pyrolysis technology. We manufacture a set of environmentally friendly carbonization furnaces, and our range includes a plant for the processing of plastic household waste. The efficiency and reliability of GreenPower equipment has been proven by hundreds of customers around the world. Our priority is the environmental safety of equipment operation with maximum automation of management and control of the production process. The high yield of the final product and the possibility of continuous operation of the plants create an excellent economic potential for all users of GreenPower equipment.
