Preparation for the Launch of BIO-KILN-1 in Nigeria

The GreenPower team is finalizing preparations for the launch of the continuous carbonization furnace BIO-KILN-1. At present, assembly and equipment testing are underway—key steps before commissioning the furnace.

This project focuses on the production of biochar, an environmentally friendly product with a wide range of applications—from enhancing soil fertility in agriculture to use in industrial processes. The commissioning of the first BIO-KILN-1 in Africa marks a significant step forward in the development of sustainable production in the region.

The primary raw material for production is palm kernel shell (PKS)—a byproduct of palm oil processing. This material is not only readily available but also an environmentally beneficial resource, allowing for waste minimization and value creation through recycling.

This project holds immense potential for growth in Africa, where the palm industry is rapidly expanding. The production of biochar will contribute to:
✅ Improved soil quality
✅ Reduced carbon emissions
✅ Job creation

This initiative represents an innovative approach to addressing environmental and economic challenges, taking another important step toward a sustainable future.

GreenPower – the energy of innovation that changes the world!
