Operational principles of the production:

The charcoal, which can be produced with the help of BIO-KILN by GreenPower, on the preparation area (1) is crushed to the required fraction on crushing machine. Received charcoal dust is removed from the crushing area by the aspiration system and is used for the further processing.

The charcoal is produced using our BIO-KILN model of the charcoal kiln, which is designed for processing small fraction raw material of plant origin (various nutshells are perfect for the shisha charcoal production – coconut, walnut, hazelnut shells). The  carbonization furnace is a patented, environmentally friendly, continuous installation for the thermal processing of plant materials. It is designed specifically for the production of high-quality charcoal as a raw material for the production of hookah charcoal, charcoal briquettes, activated carbon or bio-char.

Crushed charcoal is supplied to mixing machines. On the mixing area crushed charcoal is mixed with water and binder to reach the required consistency at the specific temperature conditions.

After mixing the product is supplied to the briquetting area (2) where is pressed (you can see the process in the video above)

Briquetting machine makes a charcoal strip with a square cross-sectional shape with wall sizes 25x25mm (or any other shape according to client requirements) as you can see on foto. Pressed product (strips) is placed on conveyor belt where it is cut in cross section by means of disk blades to a length of 25mm (or other size according to client requirements).

Combined conveyor microwave installation "Hot Stream"


Diced cubes are placed on the drying area (3) are loaded by the operator on the conveyor line of the industrial microwave installation “Hot Stream”, on which hookah or charcoal is dried under the influence of microwave energy and infrared radiation. This type of drying requires less time and energy consumption compared to traditional drying. Moisture from hookah, charcoal evaporates.

After completion of drying and cooling the briquettes are transferred from the drying cabinet to the packing area (4) where they are packed with overwrap film on a special two-tier facility with further thermal setting.


Package sealing avoids the penetration of foreign odors and moisture from outside.

The equipment has the floor construction that consists of stacking table (1), sealing machine (2) and thermal chamber (3). Coordination of all elements is carried out with the control panel (4). All moving parts of the equipment work by means of compressed air systems. Stacking table is used for giving the packaging the desired shape and supply it for sealing. Sealing machine seals transverse and longitudinal sides of the package and supplies it for thermal setting. Thermal setting chamber sets the film with the temperature and makes dense package. After film packaging the product is placed on the storage area (5) where it is loaded into boxes, packed and shipped.
